Queer
As Folk USA - Season 3
|
|
Summary:
Based on the groundbreaking British series, Queer
As Folk is a brave, funny and sometimes graphic portrayal
of a world not usually seen on television and provides an
intimate look at a group of gay men and women unapologetically
celebrating life. Relationships, careers, loves and ambitions
unfold in a remarkable tapestry of everyday contemporary life
set against the lively urban backdrop of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Realistic and frank, Queer As Folk, a weekl one-hour adult
drama, shows that, despite their differences, all people share
a common bond, their humanity and that's what really counts.
Season 3 overview:
With more character development, tighter stories and less
time spent at Babylon, the third season reaches new melodramatic
heights. We've decided to give you a brief episode guide to
whet your appetite and get you ready for another amazing season
of Queer as Folk:
Episode 1: At the big release party for the "Rage"
comic book, Justin chooses his new boyfriend Ethan over Brian.
And shockingly Ted and Emmet decide that maybe they should
try being a couple.
Episode 2: The drama moves forward as Justin has to
figure out how to pay for school now that he's dropped his
sugar daddy and Melanie tells Lindsay that she wants another
baby.
Episode 3: Brian helps out the Community Center and
Lindsay and Melanie ask him for more sperm.
Episode 4: It doesn't work out with Brian as sperm donor (to
say the least) and they ask Michael who says "Yes!" Ted and
Emmett tie the knot but problems are appearing in the midst.
Episode 5: Brian convinces a conservative, homopohobic
mayoral candidate to hire him to do marketing for his campaign.
Episode 6: Brian's candidate is leading in the polls
and Ted readies his new website "Jerk-at-work." Ben uses steroids
in his urge to bulk up and Michael confronts his man.
Epsiode 7: Ted is out and about on bail after a surprise
police raid, Melanie is pregnant and Ben stops with the "roids."
Episode 8: Michael and Ben take in Hunter, a young
teen hustler with lots of complications. Justin wants Brian
back after a disastrous end to his Ethan thing and there's
some serious trouble in the Ted/Emmett condo.
Episode 9: Candidate Stockwell gets Woody's shut down
and he discovers that Brian is gay.
Episode 10: Brian and Justin fight over Stockwell and
Ted dips into white powder with potentially disastrous consequences.
Episode 11: Stockwell fires Brian and Ted decides to
try the "circuit."
Episode 12: Hunter reveals that he may been the last
person to see the hustler killed in the second series and
Ted dives deeper into addiction and theft.
Episode 13: Hunter helps out with the investigation
that ties the murder to Stockwell and Emmett and Ted have
a huge blowup about drugs.
Episode 14: Brian risks his career to bring Stockwell
down and Hunter's mother arrives.

Summary:
Queer As Folk is unquestionably the gay cultural phenomena
of the new millennium. The master behind the scenes is Russell
Davies, the writer who created the characters who have captivated
the queer world for two years. Showtime, with incredible wisdom,
produced a Queer as Folk soap opera that could conceivably
run forever, with characters we can all identify with. The
American Queer as Folk is set in a mythical Pittsburgh - it's
not West Hollywood or the West Village - it's a blue collar
city where gay people co-exist with straight - just like where
most of us live.

Summary:
The gay cultural event of the millennium keeps on marching
along. While the writing on this second season doesn't seem
as strong, the character development has been tremendous and
there is tons more sex, nudity and trashy soapy fun! All of
the actors seem quite comforfortable in their roles and one
more has even come out - Michael's new boyfriend, Ben (played
by Advocate cover-man Robert Gant).
